This Monday, Habitat for Humanity UniMelb is collaborating with the World of Mahjong Club to bring you an afternoon that’s equal parts relaxed, social, and meaningful. Set in the heart of Market Hall, this event is designed to give you a break from the usual routine and offer something a little more intentional.

Mahjong, a game rooted in tradition and strategy, becomes more than just a game here. It’s a way to connect. Whether you’re completely new or already know your way around the tiles, you’ll find a place at the table. Members from the World of Mahjong Club will be there to guide beginners, while experienced players can jump straight into games.

Alongside this, Habitat for Humanity invites you to learn more about the work we do — building not just homes, but stability, dignity, and stronger communities. This is a chance to engage with people who care about impact, in an environment that feels easy and welcoming rather than overwhelming.

Expect a laid-back atmosphere, good conversations, and free food to keep things comfortable. Come with friends, or come alone and leave knowing a few more people than you did before.
