Annual General Meeting 2026

Dear beloved MISC Members,

As our current committee’s term comes to an end, it is time to reflect on the past year and look ahead to the future of our club. We are extremely grateful for your participation this year, and we encourage you to be part of the next chapter!

✨ We are excited to invite you to our 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM)! ✨
 

At the AGM, we will:

• 🗳️ Elect the 2026/2027 committee! (Details on roles below)

• 📜 Vote on our constitution (See attachments for details)

• 🍕 Enjoy (a lot) of FREE food!

• 💬 Discuss the club’s activities and future goals

AGM details:

• 🗓️ Date: Thursday, 17th of September, 2026

• ⏰ Time: 5:30pm - 7:30pm AEST (Voting starts at 6:00 PM – please arrive before then!)

• 📍Location: Hybrid

  • 🏫 In-person: Electrical & Electronic Engineering Building (Building 193) Brown Room (Room 106)

  • 💻 Online: Zoom (Password: 400745)

🚀 Why join the committee?

Becoming a committee member is a great way to get involved in UniMelb’s tight-knit cybersecurity community and let others know how great it is. No experience is required — just a passion for the field!

** Please note - as per the MISC constitution, only University of Melbourne students who have previously been MISC general committee or subcommittee may run for President and Vice President roles.

Nominations:

• 📝 Submit nominations for yourself or a fellow member through this form.

• 🗣️ Nominations will also be accepted on the day of the AGM.

• 🎤 If nominating, please prepare a brief speech (under 1 minute) about yourself and why you’re interested in the role — we’d love to get to know you!
