Intro to DnD

8/03/2024–8/03/2024
5:30 PM–9:30 PM
Tabletop Gaming Society

As your eyes re-adjust from the sudden flash of lightning in front of you, you see the outline of an elderly figure. They are holding a burnt parchment, that they hand to you. Written on it in the ancient language of the dragons is a singular phrase. It reads 'be there or be square'.

Playing Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) is opening yourself to a world when anything can happen. It sound intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. We at TGS run Intro to D&D, to ease newer D&D players into the hobby. In 1 night, we will give you the crash course of how to play D&D, provide some food, and get you into a session run by one of our friendly DM's (the people who run the games), in an environment open to players of all skill and experience.

So the details;

When: 5:30-9:30pm, Friday 8th March

Since we aim to play a dnd oneshot rocking up on time is unfortunately a little important, but feel free to reach out and let us know of delays beforehand and we will try to make adjustments so that everyone can get involved! You can reach us at the tgs discord, linked here; https://discord.gg/hqbh5Fgpxx

Where: Arts West, Level 4

What Exactly: A chill introduction and walkthrough to all things DnD, as well as the opportunity to play in a beginner friendly oneshot! food and drink will also be provided. Particularly encourgaged for beginers, though open to attend for all levels of experience.

What do you need to do? There will be tickets at the door, $3 for Members, $7 for Non-members. Otherwise, just rock up.

Friendly reminder, membership is only $2, and be acquired here: https://umsu.unimelb.edu.au/buddy-up/clubs/clubs-listing/join/7621/ Players of all knowledge and skill are welcome (we have lots of friendly people who can teach). Hope to see you there!
