Field Trip @ Westgate Park

We're excited to announce that we’re collaborating with the Soil and Plant Society (SAPS) and Melbourne University Birdwatching Society (MUBS) for the upcoming field trip happening at Westgate Park! 🔍 🌳 🐦‍⬛

Join us to meet like-minded individuals from different clubs and gain a deeper appreciation for our urban environment. Learn about the positive impact it has on the health and well-being of residents and the importance of leaving our parks in better shape than we found it!

🕙 Time: 10am - 1.30pm

Getting there 🚘 :

• With the committee – Meet us at Southern Cross Station at 9.15am, we will be taking the 235 bus service to Fishermans Bend/Wharf Rd
• On your own
  • Parking is available off Todd Rd but you will have to walk around the park to meet us at the bus shelter, so keep that in mind for timing.
  • Available parking on and around Wharf Rd is up to chance as there are many businesses and training centres in the area with allocated or reserved parking spaces.

Things to bring 🎒:

• ​Your myki card (if you are travelling with us via PTV)
• Binoculars (if you have them!)
• Water bottle
• Sunscreen
• Hat
• Umbrella
• Comfy shoes
• Long pants
• Charged phone / portable charger for the bird survey
• Lunch (no microwave/hot water available, bring food that is good to be eaten as-is)
