🌈 Ballroom Dance Workshop 🌈

20/05/2026–20/05/2026
5:30 PM–8:00 PM
Rehearsal Room 317, Arts & Culture Building (PAR-159-L3-317)
UMSU Queer

Brought to you by the SSAF

Do you think you have what it takes to do a 360 death drop? Can you duck walk for 4 straight hours? No? Neither can we! Which is why this Ballroom workshop is perfect for all levels.

Queer ballroom culture is an underground LGBTQ+ subculture founded by Black and Latino queer communities in New York City centered on self-expression, chosen family, and competition.

Held by Chantal Bala, this 2 hour workshop will educate you in the underground queer subculture that is ballroom culture whilst also providing you with fun with friends and some killer moves to pull out in any dance situation (perhaps the 2026 Queer Ball?).

We look forward to seeing you there! 💋💋
