Explore Plenty Gorge on a day hike with SAPS!

𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚: Plenty Gorge Park
𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣: Saturday 27 July | 10am – 4pm

Limited tickets available at www.soilandplantsociety.com/tickets

With over 800 plant species, including dozens of rare and threatened species, Plenty Gorge offers one of Melbourne’s finest areas for keen botanists and beginners alike.

A whopping 1,350 hectares, the area stands as a remnant of the native grassland, woodland, and forest which would have stood across much of Naarm/Greater Melbourne prior to colonisation.

On the day you will receive a field guide booklet and insights from the crew here at SAPS as we identify a range of plants and explore the challenges of conservation in an urban environment, and the impact of fire on floristics.

In short, we hope to make friends with some plant nerds (no matter your level of expertise) and touch grass.

Travel will be by train, meeting at Mernda station with an option to connect with a group meeting at Southern Cross.
