Artists for Aid: Benefit Concert for Amnesty International is a powerful evening of musicians and creatives in support of Amnesty International. This benefit concert brings together passionate performers and community members who believe in the power of art to inspire change and defend human rights around the world.
Featuring a diverse line-up of local and emerging artists across multiple genres, the event celebrates freedom of expression while raising vital funds to support Amnesty International’s work protecting individuals at risk, campaigning against injustice, and advocating for dignity and equality for all. These artists will be covering songs from ABBA, The Beach Boys, Radiohead, Geese, The Cranberries, La La Land, Beach House, STUDIO GHIBLI films, and more!
Performing groups are:
MUBSO (Melbourne University Biomedicine Students' Orchestra)
MDACS (MD A Capella Society UniMelb)
Volare (RMIT Jazz Band)
Bracket Racket (J-Rock Band)
shushimajic (Alternative Rock Band)
All funds will be used for human rights research and advocacy in the following causes:
Gaza:
Kid's don't belong in prison, First Nations justice:
Climate Justice:

Investigate and expose environmental harm and human rights abuses linked to climate change, especially where governments or corporations fail to protect vulnerable communities.

Advocate for stronger climate policies and accountability, pressuring decision-makers to reduce emissions and uphold their human rights obligations.
Women's Rights:

Campaign to end gender-based violence and discrimination, holding governments accountable for protecting women and girls from abuse, harassment, and inequality.

Defend reproductive rights and bodily autonomy, advocating for access to healthcare and freedom from forced or harmful practices.
Iran:

Document and expose human rights violations in Iran, including unlawful killings, torture, arbitrary detention, and executions, ensuring the world cannot ignore what is happening
More than just a concert, Artists for Aid is a movement and a space where music meets activism. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded changemakers, learn more about current human rights campaigns, and contribute directly to meaningful global impact.
