Trying to Connect
Presented by Ebony Hoiberg
Between screens, muted participants and videos turned off, how do we connect through zoom? Installation art work is brought alive with the bodies in the space. Participants not only view the work but see how others interact with it. Installation is about more than just the visuals or the sound, it’s about how my body and your body move around the space. The sounds of footsteps, the awkward anticipation and the curiosity shared in one room. How do we connect and experience this through an online space? Trying To Connect is a playful 10 minute experience utilising the technology of the online space. With limited capacity it’s a space for exploration and movement – and of course a space to connect.
Access: Live captioning provided for all Wednesday 11th August sessions.
We acknowledge the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nations as the Traditional Owners of the land upon which we live, work, and learn. We pay our respects to the Elders past, present, and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded. This always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.
