If you haven't logged on using your union SSO, please do so that CME can give you your website permissions.

Deadlines / Dates
3. Thursday 26 January — Invasion/Survival Day

The current Enterprise Agreement (EBA) at UMSU designates January 26 as an observed public holiday. However, in the spirit of reconciliation and justice for First Nations people this year staff can choose to take the day off on January 26 or not observe the public holiday and elect to take a day off in lieu on a different day.

If a staff member chooses to work on January 26, it must be done from home as the university will be closed. Staff should talk to their supervisor about their preferences as the day off in lieu will not be available in ConnX as leave.

4. Tuesday 31 January — Events Compliance Workshop

Our next CME workshop – 'Compliance in a Nutshell' – is coming up soon! This workshop will cover all you need to know about risk assessments, safe food handling, marquee set-up, RSAs and more.

Running 12-12:30pm in Room 202, Building 168.
Find out more and check out recordings of past CME workshops HERE.

5. Student Kitchen Inductions — Book in now!

Looking for somewhere to hold your next foodie event? Come and check out the Student Kitchen in the Student Pavilion (Building 162), your new purpose-built student facility to study, eat, relax and unwind while on campus.

Located on the top level of the Student Pav (Building 162) is the fully equipped Student Kitchen space that UMSU Student Reps can book to hold your next event or activity.

As this is a space with many areas of possible risk, you will be required to attend an in-person induction before you are able to book the space.

✍️ Book in HERE to attend a one-hour session so you can use this wonderful space in 2023!
✍️ Available sessions: 07/02 1-2pm or 16/02 1-2pm
