I just saw a spider in the corner of my room
It was scrunched up
In a form of self-inflicted suffering
In order to beg innocence
So I blew on it just to make sure
And saw its performance cease
I grabbed a tissue box, within proximity, withdrew:
Four pieces
As one might four hundred dollars from an ATM
Then I proceeded to form a flower with the weapon
Then I just crushed it
Absolutely
No drama
Long legs broken
Cracked and shattered
The goo all green…
I wiped it clean.
And went to the bathroom
Where
I released it, dead, into the toilet bowl
Undid my pants
And, before flushing it down
I gave it a shower
As if for a show
Of my sincerity
