Kim Feng Cheong

29 May - 20 June 2025

Opening Celebration Thursday 29 May, 5-7pm

Antara explores the shifting positionality of diaspora and double-diaspora. Kim Feng Cheong gathers identifiers of Malaysian cultural-national identity: photographs, food, language, and textiles. This self-declaration challenges presumptions about the artist's heritage. Antara also facilitates and monitors audience engagement with non-English language art.

Kim Feng Cheong creates photographic, textile, and installation artworks regarding connection to country and community, cultural-national identity, and relational aesthetics.
