The Arts Lab is an open-access art studio for creative activity located on level 1, Arts and Cultural Building, Monash Road, Building 159 (MAP).

The Arts Lab is equipped with large movable work tables, artists’ easels and art materials. The Arts Lab can be booked for the purpose of arts related activities only by current students and staff of the University of Melbourne. 

The Arts Lab Terms and Conditions must be agreed to before booking sessions in the Lab. It’s an ideal space for individuals and groups to get together to embark on a creative project, whether it be painting banners, theatre set design, rehearsal, craft or drawing. The Arts Lab may be booked for a maximum of 4 hours per day. An extension can be made on the day if no other group is booked to use the Arts Lab. Individuals may book the Arts Lab for up to 12 hours per week. The Arts Lab has 6 individual spaces that may be booked at any one time.
