Join Judy Annear  and Chelsea Hopper for a special in conversation as part of the The Possibilities Are Immense: Fifty Years of the George Paton Gallery.

Judy Annear is a writer & Honorary Fellow, University of Melbourne School of Culture & Communication. She is currently working on Djaara Country. She was Assistant Director, then Director of what was then known as the Ewing & George Paton Galleries from 1979 until leaving to set up Artspace, Sydney 1982. 

Chelsea Hopper is a curator, writer and art historian based in Naarm/Melbourne. She is currently completing a PhD in Curatorial Practice at Monash University, where she also teaches in the faculty of Art, Design, and Architecture. She is an editor at Memo Review, Melbourne’s only weekly art criticism publication, and Index Journal, an independent, peer-reviewed art history publication. In 2022, she directed 99%, a populist gallery housed in the Nicholas Building. Since 2013, she has independently curated numerous projects across Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney.
