Have some fun and unleash your creative energy in our introductory abstract art workshop for beginners. You will develop ways to access your raw talents in painting, emerging through colour and personal narrative. Let your creativity guide you in this intuitive-led workshop.

Gain the confidence, resources, and art-specific expertise you need to hone your aesthetic sensibility and painting skills, creating acrylic designs that are both striking and eloquent.

Nila Shekarvand is a multi-disciplinary artist and arts educator specialising in drawing, painting, textiles, multimedia, and participatory art projects. She earned a Master’s in Contemporary Art from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music and has been conducting research at the University of Melbourne and teaching at the Graduate Student Association since 2020.

Nila's art programs designed for tertiary students combine arts-based learning with linguistics and community involvement, fostering creative communication and shared understanding. Her gallery-affiliated workshops equip graduates with essential skills for future endeavors. Dedicated to nurturing creativity and innovation, she believes artistic skills are vital for personal and professional growth.
