Repeat, reread or redo something enough times and it will inevitably return altered. Through a series of transitory exhibitions, three curators test the limits of this idea, recontextualising the same eighteen artworks through four different curatorial lenses. Starting from a simple and rudimentary position, each iteration will move towards the experimental, in turn shifting the curator from administrator to performer. With repetition as its creative engine, Permutations: 18 x 4 asks: Can re-interpretation reveal originality or is it destined for deterioration?
