Mobile Filmmaking: a Workshop with Matthew Doherty

Join filmmaker Matthew Doherty for a free workshop exploring filmmaking using a phone, Wed 28 Aug or Thurs 29 Aug, 1-3pm.

Matthew Doherty is a filmmaker and a current PhD student at Swinburne University. He has worked freelance in film and video production since graduating from Swinburne's Film & Television program in 2014.  He is a co-organiser of the 3-Shot Film Festival (funded by SSAF) happening in September 2024.

Matthew will conduct two hands-on workshops on Mobile Filmmaking, focusing on cinematography principles using a phone. Participants will learn about composing images, lighting, and the opportunity to create a 3-shot film.
