Become awake to the sounds of our world and how they can tell stories. Union House Theatre and the George Paton Gallery present the Sound Explorations Lab, a 3-part workshop series hosted by sound artist Mara Schwerdtfeger. Through this hands-on Lab, participants will discover and interrogate the sounds around us, and use them to create real and imagined sound worlds. Discover the links between sound and space, narrative, and emotion, and how to manipulate and create sound using powerful tools such as audio recorders and audio editing software.

Participation in this Lab will create skills and open pathways to sound designing for performance, videos, podcasts, sound sculpture, installations, and more. No prior experience with sound required. A free Lab for University of Melbourne students.
