Destination Melbourne is an online student-run day of fun, activities, friends, and support to help you learn all about living in Melbourne, University life, and the Student Union.
Destination Melbourne (DM) 2021 is an online pre-orientation program designed for undergraduate students who are from rural and interstate areas, indigenous, or of low socio-economic status, as well as new international students. The program includes talks and panels on the services and support available from the University and the Student Union, as well as a variety of activities and games such as speed-friending and trivia. Students will be virtually introduced to the city, and aGelato crawl and trip around Lygon Street is planned for the early semester.
Students are supported by a team of enthusiastic volunteer hosts, who are current University of Melbourne students with extensive knowledge of the University and are keen to pass on their experience to incoming undergraduate students. The program offers a great opportunity to build social networks, support your transition to university, and help you make the most of Melbourne and University life.
