What is Wear it Purple Day?
Wear It Purple Day is an annual youth-led awareness day that demonstrates visible support and safety for LGBTQIA+ young people.
Event Details
- Date and Time: Friday 28th August, starting at 10:00am
- Location: Geoff Opat Seminar Room (Level 6, David Caro)
- Who is invited: Everyone is welcome. While the event is a collaboration between the Physics Students' Society (PSS), Postgraduate Physics Students' Society (PPSS) and the Physics Early Career Academic Network (PECAN), this event is open to all university areas, including all undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and staff members.
- What's On: We will kick off with a guest panel highlighting LGBTQIA+ inclusion and community experiences, followed by a Wear It Purple themed morning tea. Attendees are invited to wear purple as a symbol of solidarity.
