5:30 PM–6:15 PM
Zoom
Physiotherapy Students' Society

This session is designed for emerging physiotherapists and aspiring entrepreneurs. Gain insights from the founding story of Fora Therapy, a tech-enabled social enterprise revolutionising allied health care in the home and community. Dive into the intricacies of the NDIS, discover how it supports individuals with disabilities and learn the ropes of starting your social impact startup. Whether you're looking to make a difference in physiotherapy or simply eager to understand the intersection of technology and healthcare, this webinar will equip you with knowledge and inspiration to kickstart your career.

Speaker: Nikita Fernandes is a social entrepreneur and tech fanatic who recently completed a course at Stanford University in Artificial Intelligence. She loves harnessing technology and the human spirit for good. Fora takes the skills, learnings and networks gained from her previous roles in education and IT, and perfectly combines them with her personal experience. So far, Fora has helped over a thousand people living with a disability and their families to get more than 50,000 hours of therapy using Allied Health Assistants; these are university students studying to become Allied Health Professionals. Simultaneously, they've helped over 1000+ workers gain meaningful employment and hands-on experience that better equips them for their careers after graduation.
