Submission Guidelines — Dance

KEY DATES

• TASTINGS: TOGETHER 2024 submissions are OPEN from 27 May 2024.
• Submissions CLOSE 29 July 2024 at 11:59pm AEST.
• Battle of Dance runs on Wednesday 21 August 2024.

ELIGIBILITY

• Performances are limited to a maximum 5-minute duration.
• Submissions are limited to current University of Melbourne students.
• Please include all relevant information in your entry form. This includes the number of group members, and any special requirements in the “Q10”. Please note any special requirements will need to be discussed with CA and UMSU.

ARTISTS AGREE TO

• Bring your own props and allows UMSU staff to position props if necessary.  
• Grant the non-exclusive rights to UMSU to use their artwork on the UMSU website and its social media platforms.
• Successful applicants need to work with UMSU and Creative Arts team to make all necessary preparations for their performances.

UMSU CREATIVE ARTS DEPARTMENT AGREES TO

• Supply all standard equipment, including a venue, speakers and lighting.

BY SUBMITTING, YOU WARRANT THAT

• Prior to entering the work, you have gained the consent of all identifiable persons featured in the work.
• The entry is your own original work.
• Entries must not contain any material that is defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing or threatening or is otherwise unlawful. UMSU reserves the right to screen and reject submissions as it deems fit.
