NUS Nat Con Grant Applications

The National Conference (NatCon) is an annual conference hosted by the National Union of Students (NUS). This event sees student activists from around the country come together to elect new office bearers and discuss the NUS policy platform for the following year.

This year, NatCon is running from 12-16 December at Deakin University's Waurn Ponds campus. Find out more here.

According to budgetary restrictions, UMSU's Students' Council will be providing (at a maximum) 24 grants of $150 each. As per the UMSU Travel and Conferences policy and the UMSU Financial Regulations, these grants must be approved by the Education Committee, in order of 2.1 ‘Students whose Travel is contingent upon financial support will be given first preference’, and 2.2 ‘preference for subsidies will be given to first time attendees to those conferences’, and following those conditions, in order of application.

The purpose of these grants is to assist with the purchasing of unofficial observers tickets. You can find more information on registration and ticketing here.

Participation in NUS NatCon is governed by the following policy, please ensure you’ve read this to understand the terms and conditions of attendance.
