Referendum Results

The results of the referendum last Saturday are incredibly disappointing, hurtful and frustrating.

It is now more than ever where we must continue fighting for First Nations justice in this country.

UMSU acknowledges and respects the call for a week of silence shared by Indigenous leaders following the result.

As per the email from the Vice-Chancellor today, we encourage Indigenous students to use the support services and special consideration options available.

Always was, always will be Aboriginal Lands.

We recognise the sensitivity of this topic and are committed to fostering a safe space for our community. If you have any concerns or thoughts to share, please reach out to us directly via email at president@union.unimelb.edu.au.

Regards,
UMSU President
Hiba Adam
