Welcome to SummerFest!

A two-week orientation festival run by YOUR student union at UniMelb.

😎22 February – 5 March 2021😎

UMSU’s SummerFest is a bunch of online and in-person events where you’ll make connections, discover new things and find your feet. This is where your University adventure starts!

No matter who you are or … more importantly … where you are, UMSU is your BESTIE, bringing you a smorgasbord spanning your social life, side interests and your support network.

With an array of both online and on-campus events, SummerFest is a fun and accessible introduction to the stuff that happens outside lectures and tutes, ya know – the ‘life’ stuff. Hosted by the University of Melbourne Student Union (UMSU), at SummerFest you’ll meet new people, discover awesome clubs, free services and COVID-safe events that will help bring some fun, as well as peace of mind as you ease into your uni year. 🤓🤳💻

Speaking of COVID-safe, there are of course some limitations to what we can do on campus for SummerFest 2021. But we’re still pretty excited to bring you a stack of online expos, workshops, booths, friending events and other pretty special ways to find your complete UniMelb fam – the people who will be your network, your foundation and your forever friends eventually. It’s about meeting the people online you will one day meet IRL – by getting a headstart on your social life!

Want to learn more about what’s happening on campus? You can read more about SummerFest Host Tours here. Important note(!) with COVID restrictions still hanging over our heads, the UniMelb campus unfortunately won’t be its usual free-for-all funfair – invitations to participate in a Host Tour will come from your faculty.

That’s enough of the serious stuff though – you’ve got some planning to do! Read on…
