    Parchita Bar

    Current
When I thought about a name, 'Passion Fruit' came to my mind. Passion fruit is widely considered one of the most delicious fruits in the world. In Spanish, we could also call them 'Maracuya' or 'Parchita'. What is curious for me is that 'Parchita' could also be related to 'Parche', which is a 'meeting place for young people' or 'group of people'. In Colombia, when we have a 'Parche', it means we have a really good group of friends and support, and we feel in a safe environment with them grabbing a beer or just having fun. It will be amazing to see everybody trying to pronounce the name, but what is beautiful in the scene is that all of us will have fun and good memories. As students here at The University of Melbourne we need to strengthen some ties to build a unique culture in our campus. We need a good 'Parche Bar' to have a relaxed and fun time with our new friends and peers at uni. Let's have fun in the 'Parchita Bar' References: American Indian Health and Diet Project.
