Host Program

UMSU’s Host Program is all about welcoming new students to uni life here at the University of Melbourne.  It’s a program run by students, for students, taking place at the start of every semester during orientation week. 

Our Volunteer hosts lead groups through icebreakers and fun games, and share tips about everything from academia to UniMelb’s best coffee places.

Why volunteer? Aside from working alongside a seriously amazing bunch of fellow students and making a heap of friends, your time and effort will also be acknowledged in the university’s new student enrichment initiative Melbourne Plus!

You will receive a credential by the end of the year when all criteria are met. Additionally, we will have merch and a bunch of other exciting perks on offer during the training sessions and WinterFest!
