Volunteer with us

Would you like to develop employable skills while working in a fun theatre setting?
Become a Union House Theatre volunteer, help us organise events, make tons of friends, and gain transferable skills that will help you get part-time jobs. What's more?

You'll also be rewarded with a Melbourne Plus badge!

Union House Theatre Volunteers contribute to the success of this community by:

  • ushering and carrying out Front of House tasks for shows in the venues;

  • supporting activities in the set building workshop;

  • helping Student Theatre Groups who need occasional support for events;

  • marketing and promotional activations for Student Theatre.

You will receive training and be supported by the UHT staff department and Student Theatre Group (where relevant). You'll also get to make new friends and learn skills in this welcoming and social environment.

Check out the  volunteer role description for all the details!
