ABOUT THE ROLE 

Union House Theatre Volunteers contribute to the success of this community by:  

  • ushering and carrying out Front of House tasks for shows in the venues; 

  • supporting activities in the set building workshop;  

  • helping Student Theatre Groups who need occasional support for events; 

  • marketing and promotional activations for Student Theatre.  

You will receive training and be supported by the UHT staff department and Student Theatre Group (where relevant). You'll also get to make new friends and learn skills in this welcoming and social environment.

ABOUT YOU 

Your customer service experience, or your willingness to learn, will be greatly appreciated in the role of Union House Theatre Volunteer. You'll be working alongside your peers to provide support to an amazing creative community on campus. Days and hours are negotiable to suit your timetable.  

So, if you: 

  • want to give back to your community 

  • have a strong commitment to, and understanding of, the aims of Union House Theatre 

  • are able to work collaboratively with others  

  • can provide customer service that is intuitive and can think on your feet 

  • are available for three hours a week

Important Dates for Semester 2 2024: 

  • Application form opens Monday 8th July.

  • Application form closes Sunday 28th July 5PM.

  • Mandatory training will take place on Wednesday 7th August 11AM.
