Want to know about Dance Battle? Across Union House Theatre and Cypher Culture's epic Dance Battle, 50 of UniMelb’s finest street dancers (that’s YOU) battled to be the top street dancer on campus! The best part? The audience (also YOU) judges who wins. Cast your vote! Plus, we’ll have a FREE sizzling barbecue.

House Workshop - Wed 15 April, 3.30-5pm

How does Dance Battle work?

Preliminaries: each dancer will do a 30 second freestyle solo showcase
Judges will pick 32 qualifying dancers
The 32 qualifying dancers will be randomly paired to form Top 16 duos
Tournament style brackets from Top 16 onwards
Top 16 and onwards will be majority vote (crowd + 2 judges)
Top 16: 1 round, 40 secs each
Top 8: 1 round, 40 secs each
Top 4: 1 round, 1 min each
Finals: 2 rounds, 1 min each
Winners take home an attractive prize
