Creative Arts Grants

Whether you’re directing three musicals, curating an exhibition on dogs, or toying with the idea of wrapping wire around a stick and chucking it in a pool under the light of the moon- you can apply for funding of up to $1000 through our grants program.

Grant applications are now open for 2024!

The Final Application Round is from Monday 2nd September to Wednesday 2nd October

The Application Process:

Step 1. Download the grants application form here: Creative-Arts-Grants-Application-2024 | Creative-Arts-Grants-Application-2024-PDF

Step 2. Have a read of all the important info on the application form and make sure you will be able to adhere to all the terms and conditions.

Step 3. Once you’ve got a draft ready, shoot an email (arts@union.unimelb.edu.au) through to your friendly Creative Arts Office Bearers, Shravya and Jiajie, to set up a small meeting to chat through your application. This can be online or over the phone. We recommend getting in contact at least 3 days before the deadline — we may not be able to accommodate last-minute requests for a meeting!

Step 4. Complete your application and attach all the relevant documents, preferably all into one file.

Step 5. Submit your application via email to arts@union.unimelb.edu.au. The file should be a PDF or Word doc and contain your name (or group name) in the name of the file.

You’ll hear back with the outcome of your application within 10 business days.

**Initial grant application meetings with the Creative Arts Officers can be held either on zoom or in person. More information will be provided in a reply email**

Good Luck!
