Embodied Story – Creative Writing & Movement
Step into a transformative creative experience where words meet movement, and stories come alive through the body.
Storyteller and editor Nathan Scolaro and dancer, photographer and urban farmer Gregory Lorenzutti (2026 UMSU Artist in Residence) combine their expertise in creative writing, movement, and embodied practice to offer a unique workshop that awakens imagination, deepens self-awareness, and unlocks new forms of expression.
Embodied Story invites you to explore the narratives that shape your life—not only those you can tell, but also those held within your body. Through a rich blend of guided writing, free-flow journaling, movement explorations, and playful improvisation, you'll uncover memories, ignite creativity, and discover fresh perspectives.
This is a space to pause, reflect, move, and reconnect. Together, we'll journey between the quiet, introspective landscapes within and the vibrant, expressive possibilities beyond. We'll revisit stories from our past, embrace the realities of our present, and begin writing—and embodying—the stories we want to live in the future.
Dates: Mon 31 Aug & 7 Sep
Times: 1:30 – 3pm
