Minutes From Students’ Council

Students’ Council is the governing body of UMSU, and consists of 15 General Members as well as an elected Graduate, Indigenous, International, Disabilities, People of Colour and Queer Representative.

There is also a sub-committee of Students’ Council (the Operations Sub-Committee) which meets regularly throughout semester.

Minutes will generally only be uploaded once they have been confirmed as a true and accurate recording of proceedings (this usually happens at the next quorate meeting held of the committee in question). Students’ Council Minutes 2020

Meetings 7(20), 8(20) and 9(20) were cancelled due to COVID-19. UMSU sought legal advice as to how to proceed with online meetings in a way that was consistent with both the UMSU Constitution and external legislation. Students’ Council approved a way for council meetings to take place during the campus closure and COVID-19.
